Jennifer Sigrest, LPC, NCC, BC-TMH
I’m Jennifer Sigrest, LPC, the owner of Lotus Place Counseling, a comfortable, welcoming therapy practice. I have worked many years in the field of behavioral health, providing services and supports across multiple settings and systems. I’ve been in private practice since 2012, where I specialize in working with adults dealing with issues of anxiety and traumatic stress. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Mississippi (LPC#: 0552), a National Certified Counselor (NCC#: 30511), and a Board Certified-Telemental Health Provider (BC-TMH#: 1722). I am a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher from the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP) under the direction of teachers Tara Brach, PhD and Jack Kornfield, PhD. My therapeutic practice is generally a mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral approach. I am an EMDR trained therapist and am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I am further trained in ego state approaches. I am a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors, the EMDR International Association, and an alumni member of the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification program. I love the outdoors and volunteer as a Mississippi Master Naturalist in both the Central and Coastal regions of the state.
Nani Girl
Nani Girl was rescued in July 2016 as a young puppy from a local animal shelter. She is a very kind and loving lab mix who likes to hangout in the background from time to time. Nani is a Hawaiian word that means “pretty,” and that she is, both inside and out.
