I am a professional, engaging trainer who offers a number of training options for groups and organizations:
Mindfulness Meditation: Mindfulness practice has a wide array of physical and mental benefits including improvement of immune functioning, lowering of blood pressure, better self-regulation, and overall improvement of well-being. I am a certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher through the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program, created in partnership with Sounds True and the University of California’s Greater Good Science Center, under the direction of renowned meditation teachers Tara Brach, PhD and Jack Kornfield, PhD. I am available to teach the fundamentals of mindfulness meditation and support students in establishing a personal meditation practice. I periodically hold in-person and online classes and retreats in mindfulness meditation. Current offerings are posted here.
Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS): I am a certified trainer of SPARCS, an evidence-informed practice that is a strengths-based, present-focused group model for adolescents who have been chronically traumatized and/or are living in the midst of ongoing extreme stress (DeRosa, Habib, Pelcovitz, Rathus, Sonnenklar, Ford, Sunday, Layne, Saltzman, Turnbull, Labruna, & Kaplan, 2005). SPARCS helps adolescents learn to cope better in the moment, discover and rely on their strengths, make connections with others, form supportive relationships, cultivate awareness, and create meaning.
Other tailored training options: If you have training needs that align with my practice or other trainings listed here, please contact me and I’ll be happy to discuss creating a training for your group or organization.
