Make your 2020 Self Grateful

Happy New Year! Did you make any 2019 resolutions? Have you broken your 2019 resolutions? We seem to have a perception that we need a beginning point, a clean slate on which to write a new narrative of ourselves: the first day of the year, the first day of a month, Mondays. Perhaps that notion adds some unneeded pressure to this time of year and the positive changes you want to make for yourself. No worries. You can actually begin to make positive, lasting change on a random Thursday afternoon in the middle of a month. Most importantly is to consider your strategy. This NY Times article, “How to Crush Your Habits in the New Year With the Help of Science” provides some sound tips for doing just that. May your 2020 self be immensely grateful to your 2019 self for following through with your desire to be a better version of you.
